Jumpology 101

Jumpology 101

"I was motivated by a genuine curiosity. After all, life has taught us to control and disguise our facial expressions, but it has not taught us to control our jumps. I wanted to see famous people reveal in a jump their ambition or their lack of it, their self-importance or their insecurity, and many other traits." –Philippe Halsman

Iconic Image: Remembering Lauren Bacall

Whether it was her iconic line ("You do know how to whistle, don't you?") in To Have or Have Not, or her performance alongside Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep, Bacall had a timeless style and sultry presence that no doubt continues to captivate our hearts every time we curl up to watch TCM on a Sunday night.

Today's image features what is arguably one of the most iconic Harper's Bazaar covers of all time. This issue, from March of 1943, was covered by Lauren Bacall, who had recently been discovered by the legendary Diana Vreeland.

Monica's Instagram Diary: China & Thailand

This month, Monica journeyed from Hong Kong to Bangkok for some serious inspiration. From pilfering through stones in Bangkok, to "male jewelry" at O.P. place, all the way to menus in Hong Kong, it was a trip to be perused through (especially on Instagram). Here are of some of our favorites, because what's the point of a photo platform if you can't take your audience across the world with you?
