A trip to a 500 year old stone cutting town in Germany to design your very own one of a kind locket- sounds like what would happen in one jewelry lover’s wildest dreams. Monica's Instagram Diary: China & Thailand

Monica's Instagram Diary: China & Thailand

This month, Monica journeyed from Hong Kong to Bangkok for some serious inspiration. From pilfering through stones in Bangkok, to "male jewelry" at O.P. place, all the way to menus in Hong Kong, it was a trip to be perused through (especially on Instagram). Here are of some of our favorites, because what's the point of a photo platform if you can't take your audience across the world with you?

Jewelry Street Style: An Eclectic Mix

Jewelry Street Style: An Eclectic Mix

We find people doing awesome things with their jewelry everywhere, and this week's inspiration came from new Upper East Side restaurant East Pole. We couldn't help but notice the maitre d's eclectic mix of vintage and salvation army jewelry, seemingly plucked from the attic of an ever-so-stylish Grandmother, or the treasure trove of a world-famous vintage collector. We're adding a little quirkiness to your day - it is Friday after all. So get inspired to have fun with your accessories this weekend; you'll have East Pole to thank...

"My jewelry is a mix of vintage, Salvation Army finds, and things I've collected on my travels. I'm always on the look out for unique pieces wherever I go." - Dennis Cornick, Maitre D', East Pole

On Our Radar: The Armory Show

On Our Radar: The Armory Show

There are not many things we love more than the annual Armory Show in New York every March. The international contemporary and modern art fair is no doubt on our radar right now, as everyone scrambles (as they should) to buy tickets. With a delicious selection of works from the 20th and 21st centuries, we always find there's so much inspiration to be had by simply strolling through. The idea is for there to be as much global art from around the world, all housed under one roof, which makes for an experience that basically becomes endless (until you manage to be pried away by whoever you're with). Tickets are available now, it's not to be missed...

Inspired by: Venice Beach

Inspired by: Venice Beach

It's been pretty cold in New York and we've all felt a bit starved of inspiration lately. After all, as beautiful as the city is, you have to leave it to appreciate how much you love it. We recently jetted to LA, and hunted around for new ways to get inspired. Of all the neighborhoods we frequent and love in LA, we can't help but play favorites when it comes to Venice Beach. Whether it be the gritty style of the boardwalk or the bevy of hidden treasures one can find in terms of restaurants and shops, this is a neighborhood near and dear to our hearts. Here's our top five favorite places we visited there this time around, because it's about time we got a little beach-y isn't it?

1. Gjelina 1429 Abbot Kinney

2. Café Gratitude 512 Rose Avenue

3. Satine 1508 Abbot Kinney

4. Nick Fouquet 1629 Abbot Kinney

5. Moon Juice 507 Rose Avenue

Vintage Find: The Way We Wore

Vintage Find: The Way We Wore

We were in LA this week and discovered a vintage gem on La Brea - The Way We Wore. The shop is a treasure trove of trinkets and accessories of the Hermes, Chanel, and Dior persuasions (we could go on and on).

It's a hard spot not to aggressively pillage, and the name is a nice throwback to the film, "The Way We Were," with Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand. Since most of the outfits in that movie have us drooling, the name is fitting. Take a turn through our vintage discovery...

Monica's New Year's Resolutions

Monica's New Year's Resolutions

The new year has come and gone, and resolutions have been made (and probably already broken). In light of 2014, Monica Rich Kosann gave us a list of her personal resolutions for this year. Hopefully she has more self-discipline than the rest of us...

1. To try and take a deep breath everyday, a few times a day. Breathing is important!

2. To try not to hunch while sitting at the computer.

3. To go to more museums and art galleries

4. To stop eating too much chocolate (This will be a tough one...)

5. To go slower.

6. To try and give back more

7. To organize all of my inspirational tear sheets and scribbles so that I can actually use them.

8. To try and not always talk about business with my husband at dinner.

9. To clean out all my closets and get rid of anything I haven't worn in the past two years!

10. To actually read all of my beautiful coffee table books.
