Item I own that gets better with age:
I started modeling when I was 14 years old and the first thing I was ever given was an Azzendine Alaia dress. I've collected vintage designer pieces over the years. It's amazing how many of them are as fabulous now as they were then.
Best vintage buy on eBay:
Blenko glass decanters, bottles and vases.
Place I love to visit that’s rich in history:
Paris. I lived there for years and miss it endlessly. I read Madeline with my kids and have promised to take them there soon.
My secret to looking timeless:
Being comfortable and wearing clothes that suit my body and style.
Most powerful photo I’ve ever seen:
The picture of my children the moment they were born. They bring me to tears every time I see them.
Best souvenir I’m glad I brought back home:
A tagine I got in Morocco years ago. It was unbelievably heavy, but it's stood the test of time.
Favorite vintage fashion trend:
Anything with lace.
Smell that makes me feel most nostalgic:
What I’m currently coveting:
I'm coveting a red sleeveless Lanvin dress I saw on Styloot. Love!
Best advice I’ve ever received:
The first person to speak loses.
Music that always takes me back:
Anything Beastie Boys.
Film that I can watch over and over again:
Amelie and Annie Hall
Favorite family recipe:
Right now it's Roast Chicken with Caramelized Lemons, Cherry Tomatoes and Olives
Tastiest mom-and-pop shop that’s been feeding me for years:
Aroma Restaurant on Sunset Blvd in Silverlake. We spend all of our birthday's there. They will give you anything Italian that you’ve ever dreamt about: a tiny little family-owned and run place that has the best service and homemade food.
Blog I’m currently addicted to:
I couldn’t live without:
My Maya Brenner Designs necklace with my kids’ initials and the Yves St Laurent Green Bag my mother-in-law got me for my birthday :)
Words to dress by:
If you love it and it makes you feel beautiful you need to have it.
