The time has come for our next quarterly tastemaker to curate his or her favorites from the Monica Rich Kosann collection. For this collaboration, we called upon someone who is both a friend and someone we admire and adore - interior designer Nate Berkus. What we love most about Nate Berkus is that his infinitely inspiring taste and vision extends beyond his industry and into the industries of others. One of those industries is jewelry, and when we first met Berkus he expressed a passion for jewelry that we found both moving and aspirational.
As you know, our own attachment to jewelry is about the story and history behind each piece. This is something Berkus gravitates towards. He describes jewelry not in modern terms, but in relation to style periods of the past. For this particular collection, he related our different pieces to what Russian Tsars might wear as well as to the style of the 1970's - need we say more?
