I designed the locks themselves to be tiny, elegant and chic with a distinctively modern, spare and streamlined twist on the Victorian padlocks, which originally inspired this collection. The bezel set diamond in the center of the lock just gives it a touch of sparkle. I am wearing one long layering chain with an open link we call the Paper Clip chain, which features a small lock station. I also am wearing a short square lock on a steel chain for a bit of contrast. The simplicity of this look is the perfect complement to the different textural interest of my black Chanel blouse, which I am wearing with Dior pants and an MRK clutch. I am also passionate about symbolic jewelry and these locks have multiple meanings from “locked in love” to “you have the key to unlock my heart.”
Speaking of which, these locks are available in heart and round shapes for pendants and a range of Paper Clip bracelets and chains.
I’m crushing on the way these new lock pieces add a bit of romance to my style while being pared down, ageless and a timeless addition to my jewelry wardrobe.
