“I love practicing my French, so I always enjoy going anywhere in France…the south of France is special…..La Reserve Beaulieu Sur Mer is very old world ….quiet not an active place like Cannes...but an incredible experience with lots of day trips all very close by!”
Taking a walk along the cliffs in Beaulieu Sur Mer is a morning routine. Then the day is then spent sitting by the water and deciding where to eat! There are so many choices in the area.
EZE is the perfect place to sight see! There are many tourists due to the beauitiful landmarks, but it is still fun to meander in and out of the original cobble stone streets.
“Monte Carlo…is a fun visit for shopping and of course gambling if you are so inclined…..have a Martini and pretend you are in a James Bond Movie"
La Colombe d’Or in Saint-Paul de Vence is very special place for lunch. Have a glass of rose! There’s tons of serious artwork surrounding you ,which the owner took as trade for meals many, many years ago ....ie. Picasso!! Then you can walk in town, and maybe visit the perfumery.
Il Pelicano is one of Monica’s favorite places to stay on the Tuscan coast. You can relax on the beach and eat overlooking the water. There is so much history there, it oozes with Italian glamour from the 50’s. Day trips include fabulous vineyards and restaurants up in the hills.
You can also travel to Florence or Rome for a day and indulge in some gelato while visiting the Trevi Fountain or admiring Michelangelo’s David.
“Love The Milestone Hotel...very small and very British traditional. They have the greatest little cozy Bar filled with equestrian art and antiques.”
In The Edition Hotel there is an amazing restaurant called the Berniers Tavern. It’s a must just for the Art on the walls!

Of course Monica can't get enough of visiting the Crown Jewels. Here you see the tiara of your dreams.
