There are few colored precious gemstones that have the history and allure of a sapphire. It is a stone that has drawn our attention for centuries, whether as part of the jewels of royal courts, or as an important stone in the designs of the world’s finest jewelry houses (or maisons).%expanded-mobile%
Sapphire rings may only be second to diamond rings as an everyday choice in our jewelry boxes. Even on the engagement front, the sapphire ring gained more importance in recent years when Kate Middleton received a 12 carat Ceylon blue sapphire engagement ring that had previously belonged to Princess Diana. %expanded-desktop%
Sapphire jewelry is traditionally associated with the various blue shades that predominate among sapphire. In the right shade a blue sapphire can truly sparkle, and it was with that in mind that we chose a cornflower blue as the center stone in our infinity locket. We accented the sapphire with a diamond halo, and it has become one of our most popular sapphire necklaces. Sapphires come in a variety of other colors as well, and we especially love the white sapphires we use throughout our sterling silver collection. Their versatility and sparkle allow us to create a wide range of styles, including sapphire bracelets snd sapphire rings that can be an easy complement to any outfit you choose. For those of us with September birthdays, we celebrate with sapphire birthstones. While many of our designs can be considered sapphire birthstone jewelry, our favorite sapphire birthstone necklace is our petite moon with sapphires. These birthstone necklaces remind us that we are all “born under the same moon” and their delicate design allows for easy layering with other short jewelry styles you might own.
