MRK Custom Design Studio

We have been creating custom jewelry for our MRK clients since the earliest days of presenting our fine jewelry brand. Because our brand is rooted in personal storytelling, custom made jewelry is built into the fabric of our design ethos. When we set out to create jewelry pieces for our collection that can be in a family for generations, we knew that creating custom designed jewelry would allow a family to create their next modern heirloom. With that in mind, we created the MRK Design Studio to present a more structured process for our clients to create their custom jewelry design. The process of working with clients all starts with an idea. For the purposes of our custom designed jewelry, we work only in 18k gold (yellow, rose or white gold), and for certain styles we can also offer platinum. If we were creating a custom necklace for example, we would start with the client’s inspiration for the design. After discussion of general parameters and guidelines, we would talk about possible stones choices, whether they wish to create a diamond necklace, or perhaps a precious colored gemstone necklace. The custom pendants for that necklace would then be presented as concept sketches, and once a final sketch is chosen, then a final, more detailed drawing is presented for approval. Once approved, the custom jewelry style is put into work. The same process applies for custom bracelets or any other type of jewelry piece (rings, earrings etc). Because gold charms and charm necklaces are a core part of our collection, creating a custom charm bracelet that includes custom designed charms combined with our own MRK charms can be a fun, storytelling experience.
