If you've ever flown over a body of water and watched the watery shades of blue change color in the shifting sunlight, then you have a good frame of reference for what it's like to see the various shades of blue topaz.%expanded-mobile%
It is a stone that ranges from light blue shades to deep rich colors known as Swiss blue, and no matter which shade, it is a color that is easy to wear every day as you pair it with other jewelry pieces you own.%expanded-desktop%
Topaz as a stone is generally best known for its blue shades. White topaz, which is colorless, is also used in fine jewelry, but it is blue topaz that remains the favorite. It is a stone that pairs beautifully with sterling silver, and the more affordable price point of the stone makes it a great companion for that everyday metal choice. Along with citrine, it is the November topaz birthstone. Our topaz jewelry selections include our charm necklaces, lockets, and pieces from our Sun, Moon and Stars collection. Many of these are topaz necklaces, and oftentimes, to soften the color and add a hidden shimmer, we will combine the blue topaz with a mother of pearl backing (known as a doublet), to achieve a shade infused with romance and elegance. In our High Jewelry collection, we sometimes feature imperial topaz stones. In contrast to the blue, imperial topaz is known for its deep rich tones of orange and reddish orange. Those who celebrate with topaz as their birthstone will also have either Scorpio or Sagittarius as their astrological sign. Both are available in a number of choices as part of our Zodiac collection. They are available as both necklaces and charms in sterling silver, 18k gold and enamel with vermeil (over sterling silver).
